Who We Are?
A Family Gym With a Fighting Heart
Khaoboy Muay Thai is a traditional Thai style Muay Thai gym in Carnegie, owned and operated by Cory and Chloe Dean since July 2021
After a very successful Muay Thai career that consisted of 25 fights for 21 wins, fighting on some of the country’s best promotions and several stints in Thailand at the famed Sangtiennoi gym, our Head Trainer, Cory ‘The Cowboy’ Dean has continued his passion and love for his sport by opening his own Muay Thai gym and is now dedicated to spreading the love of Muay Thai for everyone from beginners to fighters. Khao (เข่า) means knee in Thai, which is one of the 4 weapons of Muay Thai along with kicks, punches and elbows. Cory was an undeniably strong Muaykhao (knee fighter) and as such there was no better name for our gym than Khaoboy!

OUR STORY
After having their first child and opening the gym, the other half of Khaoboy, Chloe, wanted to make sure she could truly understand the sport and what the members would face throughout their journey, so she too went on to have a successful Muay Thai career, being undefeated as a professional and representing Australia at the Amazing Muay Thai WBC World Championships, bringing home a bronze medal. She had 9 fights in 20 months all while being a mum of a toddler and running the gym – managing to win 8 of them and credits this to the coaching of her husband and trainer, Cory.
