CORY
Co-owner - Head Coach
Cory began fighting at 21 years of age, and quickly became one of the biggest names in Australian Muay Thai. He soon earnt the name ‘Cowboy’, after some wild wins and taking out some of the biggest names, all multiple state and Australian champions. Cory never fought for a belt, because he took whatever fight was in front of him and was named by good friend and Strong Heart Muay Thai owner Jordan Fielding as ‘the uncrowned king who beat all the champions’.
Cory had a very successful Muay Thai career that consisted of 25 fights for 21 wins, fighting on some of Australia’s best promotions and spending several stints in Thailand at the famed Sangtiennoi gym where he continued his winning streak, fighting at stadiums like Rajadamnern and taking out multiple 4 Man Championships on Onesongchai.
Cory gave up fighting after the birth of his first son and has since dedicated his whole fighting heart to teaching others and sharing the love of Muay Thai as far as he can send it. Muay Thai changed Cory’s life, and he is dedicated to helping others who can also benefit from this incredible sport.
Cory takes many classes on the timetable and is also available for Private Training
CHLOE
Co-owner - Coach
Chloe started her Muay Thai journey as a 27-year-old who wanted to learn a new skill while improving her fitness. Having never tried a martial art, she immediately fell in love with the sport and the ways in which it forces you to stay present under pressure, dig deep and train harder than ever before – all while having fun and meeting parts of yourself you didn’t know were there. The face she met at the desk of the first Muay Thai gym she walked into was Cory, and she has been learning Muay Thai from him ever since. Due to travel, COVID and having their first child, it wasn’t until she was 31 that she entered the ring for the first time, and after winning via TKO after entering the ring terrified, she was hooked. After a couple more amateur fights she moved to the professional ranks, where she had an undefeated record of 4 fights for 4 wins. She was also selected to fight for Australia at the WBC Amazing Muay Thai World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, where she secured a bronze medal after receiving the only loss of her fighting career – all with her toddler in tow. She has a strong belief that you can do anything you set your mind to – you just have to keep showing up.
With a second child on the way in 2025, Chloe looks forward to returning to training others and herself mid to late 2025.

P'TON
Fighters' Trainer +150 Fights
P’Ton began his Muay Thai training when he was 7 years old, in a small village in North Eastern Thailand. He quickly began a respected career in Thailand and has fought over 150 fights. Ton was known as "Liam" - which in Thai means to ‘have many techniques’. He fought professionally at both Lumpini and Rajadamnern stadiums in Bangkok (the two most popular and respected stadiums in Muay Thai). Ton was the Isaan (North Eastern Thailand) Champion in the 105 pound weight division. He was also a very successful member of the Thai Army amateur boxing team. Muay Thai never left the heart of Ton, and he continued with Muay Thai by being a trainer. He has over 25 years experience in training both Thai and Western fighters and beginners.

BEN
Trainer
Ben started martial arts at a young age, but it wasn’t until he was 15 that he discovered his true passion, Muay Thai. Ben had several amateur fights before turning pro at the age of 18, gaining a variety of experience in both Australia and Thailand. Some of Ben’s fondest memories include fighting at Rajadamnern stadium in Thailand, representing Australia at the Amazing Muay Thai WBC World Championship overseas, and most recently winning a 4-man tournament here in Melbourne on Warriors Way Promotions. Along with fighting, Ben thoroughly enjoys coaching and taking classes, focusing on clean technique and building a strong fitness base. Ben’s interest in training extends beyond Muay Thai, where is he also studying exercise and nutrition science at university.
Ben takes many classes on the timetable and is also available for Private Training.
JAMES
Trainer
James is one of our amateur fighters, coaches, and also an engineering student. James takes our Kids classes, morning classes and is available for Private Training Sessions.
James’ unedited love for Muay Thai can be seen in his own words below;
“I started Muay Thai after watching amateur fights, and my interest came from observing both corners, showing respect to each other after fierce battles. By seeing a big smile even on the loser’s face, I realised that there is more to this sport than winning - facing your fears and working hard to bring yourself to enter the ring is far more satisfying than a medal! As a 21-year-old amateur fighter, I am captivated by the technical side of Muay Thai - every technique has a counter if foreseen and timed beautifully. This offers a thrilling mental challenge that distracts the mind from the intense level of exercise you’re doing. Aside from gaining the ability to protect yourself and maintain peace, the main privilege of practising Muay Thai is the ability to pass on knowledge and inspiration to others. In the realm of Muay Thai, training someone holds the potential to instil key values including discipline, control, respect and humility which empowers them to apply the skills they learn in our gym to any path they chose. This notion is particularly significant to children who still have a plethora of unopened doors to explore in their life; understanding how working hard towards something translates to improvement is a simple guide to a positive and fulfilling future!”

MORGAN
Trainer
Morgan started his Muay Thai journey with Cory over 4 years ago and instantly fell in love with the sport after realising it's fun to kick stuff! He went on to have 7 amateur fights and developed a killer right kick – one of the most beautiful in the gym.
Morgan believes that, like everything in life, training Muay Thai has its ups and downs, ranging from injury and morning training sessions in the winter to the thrill of hopping into the ring for the first time to see what you're made of. He says that whatever stage of life you're at or whoever you are, Muay Thai doesn't exclude anyone as long as you are willing to turn up, respect your fellow students and be able to get up off your feet once knocked down (it happens to us all!). Khaoboy is filled with people who love to learn, grow and smile through adversity.
Morgan takes the early morning classes and is available for Private Training Sessions.
